Fake Crepe
Sheridan Props: 2nd Year
2017/2018
The crepe shell was sculpted out of natural wet clay, then a mold was made in plaster. From the plaster mold, a latex rubber cast was made of the crepe. After some experimenting, the crepe was painted with acrylic paints for their elasticity, so the paint job would not crack when the crepe was folded. The raspberries were made of wooden beads, painted red, and dotted with beads of hot glue. the filling was created with the fake raspberries, and gel wax tinted with red dye. Some strawberry wax was also added to the inside of the crepe, so it smelled like a dessert. Tile and tub caulking was piped in the opening and on the side of the crepe for whipped cream, brown puffy paint for chocolate syrup, and a bit of plaster dust for icing sugar.

This was a 2nd year Sheridan College project in the Props department. As of 2023 when I am adding this project to Behance (6 years after creating it), the crepe looks completely unchanged!
